Why
a Home Performance Contractor for Your Home Improvements??
Home improvement contractors participating in Wyoming's
Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program can help you cost-effectively
improve home energy efficiency.
These specially-trained home improvement contractors can:
- Perform a whole-house energy evaluation of your home using state-of-the-art
equipment
- Recommend a series of energy-saving home improvements, based
on the evaluation, that can work together to give you the best
results
- Help you to get the project done and show you how to qualify
for the new tax credits for energy efficiency
To make sure your Home Performance with ENERGY STAR job is done
right, Wyoming Energy Council performs random inspections of contractors'
home improvements to ensure quality. Each home performance contractor
is fully mentored on their first five jobs, which are then inspected
by a third-party quality assurance specialist who verifies that
all measures perform to established standards. 15% of all subsequent
homes in a given calendar year will continue to be inspected after
home improvements have been completed.
